The graphics are primitive and the game is silent. This game is a clone of Minesweeper, a game found in almost all versions of Microsoft Windows. For those who don't know, you click a square, if the square contains a number, that number indicates how many mines surround the square. Using logic and deduction, you try to figure out where all the mines are without accidentally clicking on one.
For those used to Windows Minesweeper, this game may be lacking a small bit but the gameplay is much the same.

If you like Minesweeper but want to get rid of Windows to have a DOS-only system, download this game so you won't have to miss out on Minesweeper.

Minesweeper is a wonderful classic game that everyone can enjoy. The premise of the game is that you are checking the “mine field” for mines and click on squares that will reveal numbers or mines. If you reveal a number, the number indicates how many mines are in the surrounding 8 squares. Once you determine where all the mines are and have revealed all the numbers, you win! Click on a bomb, though and you lose. Another great thing about this game is that there are varying levels of difficulty. That way, if you are just starting out, you can get an easy time of finding mines and aren’t completely stuck on the game. Also, the game is timed, so you need to be quick in marking those mines! If you don’t find all of the mines in time, don’t worry, you can still start the game over again. Minesweeper can be challenging for everyone and is something that can be learned to be enjoyed. Minesweeper has been a Windows Operating System game staple for years, and now people who have only a DOS system can get Minesweeper to play on their computers. It’s a good thing that this game is spread around as it will be a classic a hundred years from now when all of the BioShocks, Mario Brothers, and Call of Duty games have disappeared into the mists of time and electronics heaven. It is one thing to call a game a classic, but this game will be a legend for as long as video and computer games are being made under the concept of “new and improved” graphics. Sometimes the most basic games can be the ones that are the most fulfilling. I can definitively say that Minesweeper is still one of my favorite computer games even though I have been playing computer and video games for over 15 years and I don’t see myself getting tired of it anytime soon. I hope that other people and especially new, young gamers will find joy in playing this game as no one can say that Minesweeper isn’t popular, exciting, and fascinating. Hopefully if you download this game you will spend hours of time enjoying it and sharing it with the people that you know and love. It’s a good thing to share this game as it is a basis for almost all other strategy computer games that have come since Minesweeper’s conception. Have fun playing!
