Lemmings at War is a clone of two games: Lemmings and Worms. chaozz@work did a good job getting the good parts of both and putting it in one game. The intention of this game is to shoot the enemy team. Like in Worms, aim the weapon you choosed and shoot.
The environment of this game is pretty nice. The Dutch developer placed windmills in one of the levels. I had a lot of fun destroying these windmills.
You can play this game on your own but it might be more fun to play it with two players. Lemmings at War only has a multiplayer option, which works pretty good.

The idea of Lemmings at War contravenes their iron credo, their will to freedom, and their feckless courage in the face of the times. In this version, not only does a Lemming gain pathos with complete ineptitude, they are granted their bid for war mongering like the next Neanderthal numbskull. So this is the original lemmings, done over to the max. What can you expect? You just wait with bated breath! Its better than Lemmings. Its better than Lemmings 2. If there was a Lemmings 3, it would be better than that. But at a glance, it looks like just a fun version of the old classic. The interface is a little crude, but the idea remains to be enjoyed.
The gameplay is timeless, so if you were a fan of the first one, you'll very much enjoy this too. The music is possibly attunable, seeing as the game can be fore grounded to the accompaniment of your choice. My suggestion: either happy hardcore or banging drum and bass. The backdrops are comic, to just think! Where are these lemmings heading off with their destiny. One thing's for certain, it beats leaping headlong off a cliff. The adventures have just begun! The graphics in general is rudimentary, though you'll enjoy the day you breathed easy, thinking these guys don't want to be saved. All the features from the original are accommodated: diggers, builders, blockers, climbers, bungee jumpers, hook-polers, bashers.
So, why not give it a try? No computer gamers collection is complete, without a novelty of this magnitude. Impress your friends with the hilarity of your global contempt. Win indifference to your friends and enemies both, as well as from them, as you plough through episode after episode of the highly enthralling, highly endearing, highly alluring - Lemmings Bloc! At war!
The game is highly suitable for all age brackets, balancing humour with affect, and boggling the mind into the bargain. If you're looking for something that pre-empted the wildly successful Worms World Party, and can afford to wile away no little time ensuring that these guys die the right way, then Lemmings at War is for you.
