This is my review for the game Holiday Island. I personally think that Holiday Island pretty good game, simply because it teaches people, somewhat how to run a business and manage money. This is a great title for young kids this day in age. When you begin the game you get to pick from a number of scenarios. You can compete with yourself or other people.
It’s very detailed with the type of game you can play, like they are levels you can start from.
The only thing I’ve had a problem with was saving my game. You go through a whole hour of building up your island only to find when you return to play again, it’s no longer there. It would be great if the tutorial actually told you what to do or where to start. But I’m guessing that it’s partly for the third thing I saw a problem with, witch is that it is not American made. The game doesn’t use American currency, which probably means that the tutorial would not be in English. But besides that its really fun game. The graphics are pretty detailed. I wish that you could zoom in closer to your island so you could see the people more in detail. I’m also guessing that’s probably because its an older game. It reminds me of the games we used to play in school on the library computer.
The game consists of building your own resort where people want to vacation and you can make money on the places you decide to build there. It took me a little while to figure out exactly how to make money on my businesses. It’s important to remember to wait until your establishment is completely built, and 100% occupied before you start upping your prices. You might not make any money if you overcharge your loyal but few customers. Also, you’ll have to borrow money from the bank if you want to make money. Just make sure that you have your streets connected to all your establishments, because you can’t make any money if the customers can’t find it. Also beware of your competition there is a sabotage button you can push. This button allows you to do all types of evil things to your opponent. Things like bribe your opponent’s construction workers to work very slow. Over all Holiday Island gives you hours of fun.
