Reviewer: Ebbonorden This is a parody of other adventure games Sierra made like King's Quest or Space Quest. If you played Sierra games you might get the joke, otherwise in my opinion, this game isn't worth your time. It's not very subtle in sexual content as you might guess.
Basically your character is a guy named Richard who is attempting to get laid. It's a little difficult because there is only ONE girl in the entire game who will have sex with you and once you figure that out then the game doesn't take too long...I would download it if you're into quirky games otherwise it isn't for you...
Reviewer: Radios In recent years, concerns with media violence and how it affects behaviour has been growing. As time goes on television, movies, and video games have become increasingly violent. In additions, the internet has made it easy for anyone with access to expose themselves to any genre of media they want from the comfort of their own home. However, the question of whether or not these forms of media are just another form of harmless entertainment, or if they can have an influence on a persons behaviour (particularly in children). Lately, due to recurring school shootings, many people have been trying to find out what would drive these individuals to perform such radical and violent acts.
A lot of research has been done over the past few decades on whether or not media violence can cause aggression or desensitization in individuals (Griffiths 1999). Most of this research has focused on violent video games and its effect on various age groups of adolescence (Kirsh 2003). Though recently, it had been suggested that violent media may also have an impact on the behaviours of adults. It is believed, however, that the biggest impact will occur during the developmental stages of childhood. It is during this period that children are susceptible to various kinds of learning (Kirsh 2003).
Because a lot of the concern of violent media is place on interactive video games, there has been an increasing amount of research done on them in recent years (Kirsh 2003). Several games that have come out over the years have sparked debates about the content that appears in video games targeted toward an adolescent audience. The one that perhaps had sparked the first big debate over violence in video games was Mortal Kombat (Griffiths 1999). It was largely due to the realistic violence and bloodshed in this game that a ratings system was then applied to all games released in the United States. This was to make sure that parents knew what sort of content was in a game before letting their children play it.
Of all of these studies, none took into account the subjective feelings of the media they were exposed to. Games labelled as “violent” by the experimenters may not seem to violent to the participants. Most of the researchers did not take into account external factors that could increase their aggression and hostility but was not necessarily due to the experiment variables. Another variable that is commonly overlooked is frustration. Frustration can sometimes lead to anxiety and sometimes can even cause aggressive behaviour. Many games today can also be played online against other players. Even though the game itself may not be considered violent (such as a sports game), playing, and sometimes losing to, competition can lead to aggression. Because of these possible variables this experiment will look beyond the common errors. This experiment will test the hypothesis that external variables while playing a video game can all lead to aggression.
