Diamaze is a simple, yet challenging game as you try to get all the diamonds in the mine as fast as you can before your lamp runs out of oil. You also have some dynamite to break down walls if you need to.
With ancient ASCII graphics and a simple premise, Diamaze might not have much mainstream appeal, but it can be cool for those who enjoy simple old-fashioned gaming such as many games found on the Atari 2600 and similar consoles.

Diamaze is an easy-to-use and easy-to-understand game that is perfect for those of us gamers that like to revisit their younger years. It has some outdated graphics but is pleasantly reminiscent of games such as the original Tetris and Pong. Though its simplicity may have you fooled, there still remains some challenging aspects. The object of the game is to get all of one’s diamonds into the mine before your oil lamp runs out. How realistic!
It is exciting to be able to blast down walls with dynamite. It is very relaxing and you may even be happy to find yourself lost in the maze while bored at work. The game does not involve the stress of staying away from enemy attackers, while you are only racing against the timer as it ticks away. The file size is not large so it does not take up a lot of space on your hard drive. Some may say that the graphics are unimpressive but one does not notice the monotony of it when played in small spurts of time.
For those of us who do not have the fast reflexes of an experienced gamer, this game is the game for you! No enemies to outrun and no enemies to kill! Though not exactly fast-paced or up to date at all, it is a great, fantastic wonderfully pleasant waste of time. No more busy work at the office. You will have them all fooled as youre clicking away at your screen pretending to work on some important document. Also, it is a nice game to just play sitting at home on a bad weather day if you are not big into reading. Basically, it is just the right game to entertain you when boredom takes over. I downloaded it quickly due to its small size and immediately found myself lost in a trance of fun fantastical entertainment and I lost myself in a world of gray. I felt myself fully immersed in the excitement of racing against the clock but not a lot of stress. What fun! How exciting!
Although some of us thirst for the reality of real-life graphics, this is for the not obsessed with games gamers, the more sane of us all. So I give this game 4 stars and two thumbs up everyone should download it so they may have it on hand when boredom calls!!! Give it a try.
