Hyper Tank made me think of Tunneler, because of its top-view on the tank. This game is a bit different. You are in control of the tank, and you need to destroy the enemy tanks and buildings. Your enemies will also try to shoot you, but you can easily drive your tank away, because it's easy to control and fast.
If you like top-view action games, I'm sure you'll also like this game. The graphics are good and the gameplay is very good, so just give it a try.

This game gives you a top-down view of your tank. It's great to run from enemies and attack them between shots. This game is remarkably entertaining considering the old-school graphics. If you like top-down shooters, this game will pique your interest for at least a few minutes.
The gameplay is pretty simple. Simply put, your goal is to destroy enemy tanks and buildings. It's an action game. And 400 words to describe it?! You are a tank. You move the tank. You blow things up. Do you really need more information? Try the game. It's freaking free.
I don't love this game. There are better games out there. If someone asked me to pay current prices (fifty dollars U.S. plus), I wouldn't do it. There's still a few minutes of fun playing pong, but that's no exactly high-end stuff.
Anything really unique about this game? Not really. You won't have your mind blown, but you will have fun. Multiplayer? No. Again, you will have fun. If you have a laptop and a long flight, it might be worth it for you to download. There are a few Genesis games that are similar and with an emulator download and a search for the ROM, you'll be able to have as much fun and not have to write a book report.
If you find a "secret meaning" about healthcare or the meaning of life while playing this game, you need to put the pipe down. You won't have any of that. It's a game. It's designed to be fun. No more, no less.
So, yeah. The graphics are sprites. Pretty standard for a game that looks as old is this one is.
This game gets 4/5 stars. Not great, but as I said, it's a game. Pew pew pew. Travel, shoot, rinse, repeat. If that's what you're looking for, terrific. If not, why are you here?
