Bowling Evolution is not a game with really good graphics, but it is a good bowling simulator so that's why I added it.
The idea of Bowling Evolution is simple. Choose a game type in the first menu and it will load the game. Seconds later you are trying to throw a strike, which I couldn't succeed in. If you're not a real bowling fan this game will not really long attract your attention, although it might be nice to play it for a while.
There's also an option to load highscores from the internet into your game, so you can see how good you are and what place you take on the list.
Reviewer: Gjalks Bowling Evolution is a fun and somewhat simple game. Lets start off it’s a bowling game. You can have up to 4 players. They're two different type of games you can play, 1st way is 10 Pin Bowling, its just a regular game of bowling with 10 rounds, you just have to get the best score hoping for strikes.
The other type is Challenge Bowling, you go against computers/other players and play different challenges from getting a strike or getting the 2 corner pins that are left. The game is quite easy to play. Controls are quite simple, in that all you use is the mouse to first click for power then click again while aiming. The game is far more enjoyable when playing with someone else, even when its only one other person.
Next the graphics, the graphics of the game are actually quite good for the size of the file of the game. I was personally expecting cruddy graphics, but I was surprised, the graphics aren't half that bad. Kind of choppy graphics on the bowling ball when it moves down the lane, but other than that the graphics are decent. The game is overall fun, the first time I played it, I found that aiming for the centre pin, rarely gets a strike(for me at least), so that’s why I tried out different ways to hit the pins, you also decide how much power you can use, I use a lot but that me. Also you can pick the type of bowling ball, which can go from a Basic Bowling Ball, 14lbs, Medium Friction, to a Black Marble Bowling Ball which weighs in at 16lbs, and also has medium friction. I prefer the Black Marble, but that’s just me. Practice makes Perfect, in that keep trying you’ll get better and then you’ll get more and more strikes.
The game's sound effects were decent, in that the bowling ball and pins made the appropriate noises. I didn't notice any music, but I was listening to music in the background. The game is a solid game in and out, with a few choppy graphics here and there. You can also see high scores from the internet, and compare it with yours.(I didn't because I knew my score would be horrible compared to other bowlers).
The game didn’t suffer any major glitches and it wasn’t laggy on my computer which is pretty old. This is a plus for me, in that the game runs smoothly. If you like bowling in real life, you'll like this game, because it brings the bowling experience to your computer.
This game is overall a fun and enjoyable.
