Locomotion is the sequel to Transport Tycoon, which is also a Chris Sawyer game. You need to build your own transport company starting from scratch. You can use trains, buses, trams, ships and aircrafts to make as much money as you can.

Locomotion still has the good old Transport Tycoon flavour but also has his own addition which makes it better than Transport Tycoon. The graphics are updated, the gameplay is very good and it really gives you the good old Transport Tycoon feeling.

This is unfortunately a 60 minute trial version of Locomotion. Before you know, the 60 minutes are over, so do what you can to make your company grow!

Locomotion is a very addicting game. It's where you start out with nothing really and then have to connect cities using roads, railroads, ships, and airplanes. In order to make the cities in the game grow, they will need certain resources which you have to get to that city via a certain transportation device. The whole point of the game is to connect the cites on the screen or world that you are playing in and to get the certain resources that each city wants or needs. The graphics for the game are okay, noting the time the game came out and what was available technology wise. There is a new one out that Sid Meier made. That is also very fun. I own that one. Pretty much the same thing as the one on here. Same point anyways. Just the new one has up to date graphics, of course.

One of the challenges with the game (and it makes it more of a strategy game) is the money factor. It costs money to build the roads and have the vehicles, ships, trains, and planes so you have to have some resources going to cities to generate a cash flow. The more resources you have going to a city the more money you will be bringing in and the faster you can build bigger better things to get your scenario done.

The game gets harder of course once you have played it for awhile and gotten past the first easy builder upper scenarios. That's where the fun begins. Try connecting 10 different cites where each city needs a resource that is way across the screen and it costs an arm and a leg to build the road or railroad to get to it and back. You have to plan it all out and think where it is going to lead to next.

If you love simulation games like I do then you will love Locomotion. It is like those Sim City games where you build the city and then have to make it bigger and keep the people happy and such. Well Locomotion is pretty much the same thing, just in this Sim you get to make the transportation routes and such. It makes it much more challanging, but yet fun at the same time. So go give Locomotion a try and if you like it you should look into getting Sid Meier's Locomotion. Both games are pretty fun.
