This game is a clone of the classic arcade game Centipede, shoot the micropede until he is all dead, also shoot other insects and mushrooms. This game stands apart from other Centipede clones in that it offers lots and lots of options! Very customizable! As for normal gameplay, it's a dandy game at that, albeit repetitive and monotonous, like many arcade games.

I first played centipede as kid at my friend’s house, in the basement game room, he had it on a classic arcade machine, one of the big ones that took up way to much space, and we would spend hours playing it, defending out territory from the evil, ever approaching bug. Inevitably it became to fast and you would end up firing desperately trying to get that last segment before it reached you and then dodging it for as long as you could.
Though not too different from space invaders, one of the best classic arcade games ever made, centipede is much faster passed with the centipede rushing down towards you through a maze of mushroom barricades that are created by destroying segments of the centipede, these mushrooms have also been known to die off and re-grow not unlike the simulation of life known as con.
This game has absolutely charming graphics and obnoxious, but incredibly fun sounds, mostly consisting of bleeping noises and bad laser sound effects, yet again not unlike space invaders. I found that this game never gets old no matter how long you play it, though you may find yourself trying to put your fist through your monitor. Millipede does not vary from centipede much, but does allow for two player mode which alternates turns. It also includes multiple enemy types like, earwig, bee, spider, dragonfly, and mosquito. Also added was the powerful DDT bomb, which, when shot, blows up destroying everything around it, mushrooms and centipedes included.
This game has remained a classic and is still played in tournaments to this very day, with the current high score being set at 10,627,331. Recently it was ported to the Xbox 360 and games for Windows Live. Milton Bradley at one point released a board game based on this classic video game this clearly shows how much of an icon the centipede style games have had on our collective cultures. One thing that is for sure, centipede, millipede will go down in history as fantastic, addicting, and colorful games that will be remember by many and certainly by me. On the other clones, such as this, will be forgotten under the fame of the aforementioned titles.
I love Centipede games and I truly hope that they never go out of style.
