Graphics are average. The gameplay is not very exciting, just some old-fashioned brick banging action. Not much more than just another clone out of many Breakout/Arkanoid clones. Has PC Speaker blips and beeps that may annoy some. Overall, this is a decent, yet average Breakout clone.
Unless you are a die-hard Breakout/Arkanoid fan, you may not find this game very interesting.

There is nothing better than breaking blocks after a hard day. This game kept me from going psycho-shin-kicker many times in my life. It is addicting in the way paddle ball can be addicting. The reason is probably due to the fact that it is a very mindless game that many find refreshing after hard, wanting-to-kick-people's-shins days.
The gameplay is so simple. All you have to do is move the paddle back and forth to keep the ball in the air and hit blocks and bonuses whenever you can. Once the ball drops, you call it a day.
With this game, I can just kick back with a soda (or something stronger if I really need it) and break blocks while imagining all those jerks who pissed me off. Every time I hit a block, I can cheer and imagine another jerk gone for good.
My mom introduced me to this game. I'm still in love with it, especially now that everything is so hectic in life. It feels good to just relax and play something relatively mindless once in a while.
Do not let those other gamer guys fool you. Gemstones 2 is a must, even for those who have no interest for it. Life is not possible without it! I'm serious here! The state of being Mindless is good for people in today's world, where everything is moving at a break-neck pace. This is a good game to just slow down and destroy everything that annoys you.
The power-ups and bonuses help a lot as well. I won't tell you what does what (because that would spoil the surprise), but I can say that each one is unique, just like the stages played. Getting to each stage is a challenge tougher than getting to the one a player may have just finished.
All in all nice game to play and relax. Must have.
