I really enjoy this game! It is very basic, but at the same time very complex!
There are many options within the game, which include merchandise, many technology additions etc that make the game very exciting to play.
Once you get the hang of the game, it really is a joy to play. At times, it can be frustrating because it is really hard to win a race, especially when you are a team like Forti.
If you wish to win some games, then I would chose a team like Bennetton, Mclaren, Ferrari or Williams.
The more you move down the field, with teams such as Ligier, Jordan and Sauber, it gets harder, but it is still very much possible to win a few races.
Teams like Forti are near impossible to win anything for the first few years, and as of yet, I haven’t. Signing Damon Hill was always a good idea, and I have been doing much better.
I started my career with Forti with a budget of $20,000,000.00 and have been struggling to make ends meet ever since! Merchandise is very important and you must invest in your backroom staff to make sure that you have the right people in order to sign up with the main guys. Making good deals means that you rake in the money, and you are able to acquire much better technology, staff, facilities and what ever else you can get your hands on!
The next thing is to take on the actual races, which is much more complex than you can ever imagine! There are so many options and things you can do within this part of the game. For example, there are various set ups for your car that you must work along with the advice of your driver in order to get the right balance in your car.
Once you do this, then you should be competitive, but you must make sure you practice or test on the circuits, otherwise it is too much to just turn up and try to make a decent set up on the day of qualifying! Doing this will get you in the right shape to hopefully win the races!
One problem I do have with the game is that with the lower teams especially, my racers always crash out pretty easy. They seem to always have some sort of crash within qualifying, which is why practice and testing is so important. But that does not take away what a great game it is and I highly recommend it.
