I found that Lords of the Realm II Siege Pack was a great game. I liked the ability to have added campaigns and I also like the ability to have more control over what battles or scenarios that I fought in. I also like the ability to build my own castle or at least have more input into the building of a castle.
I liked the ability to have multi-player games within my own house network.
I was able to hook it up to several computers and play the games with my children within my own home. It was fun because we would be in different rooms battling each other and my wife would be laughing because we would be yelling and having a good time.
I thought for its time the graphics were great, obviously in time they are a bit out dated but I still enjoy playing to game to this day. I was a bit disappointed that they did not include the sheep back into the game play, I had heard rumour back when it was released that they were thinking of putting sheep back into the game play in the siege pack addition.
I liked the variety of the maps. Many who played Lords of the Realm I only had two maps to choose from but when you played Lords of the Realm II and the siege pack version there were several maps and scenarios to choose from. I also liked the ability to control your armies and the graphics a bit better in II siege pack vs. I.
I think in summary, if you want a game with good solid graphics, a game where you can create your own maps and a game with a ton of battles, Lords of the Realm II Siege Pack is the game for you and your family.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online Lords of the realm 2: siege pack is a great upgrade to Lords of the realm 2. It really is a good upgrade for the fact that it gives you more options when laying siege to enemy castles and concurring their territories. The added siege weapons may add time to the to the actual fall of a enemy town, but it dramatically reduces the amount of casualties suffered from just fighting an army one on one.
The new siege weapons are catapults ladders and rams. On the other hand if you are the person under siege it helps give you time to bring your army over to help stave off the attack or raid a new army to fight off the attackers. I personally think that the siege pact is just a great add on to one of the best strategy games ever made. It really doesn’t change the game play it keeps the basic concept of the original game intact and adds a few bonuses to help the players in there campaign to conquer the realms. I have played Lords two many times and recently acquired the siege pack. It just really makes the game more fun and enjoyable. When you actually storm the castle the strategy involved really makes your mind think and challenges you on how to win and overcome the situation.
Without the siege pack Lords two is still a fun game and a great challenging game but the siege pack offers that missing link you look for. I think this is must have if you play the Lords series. I hope you find this article useful and helpful when making the decision to purchase or download this expansion. I was extremely happy and greatly entertained with the expansion and I hope everyone else will feel the same about it. Bottom line is that it is a expansion that does not change the basic game play or rules to the original game play, it rather expands the game play and takes it to a new level like expansions are meant to do.
The basic elements are still there taking care of your people and managing your resources, making army’s and concurring your enemies territories while keeping people happy and fighting of the elements (plagues, livestock death, and floods. You have to maintain the fine balance from a heavy military (which makes your peasants unhappy and maintain your daily duties by harvesting resources needed for making weapons and armor. Even though the graphics are not the best (as expected in older games) this game just out right rocks.
