Master of Magic is a great game that all fans, of the fantasy/strategy/medieval genre, will love. You basically start off as a wizard who controls a small village. But, with enough experience and patience, you can turn that small village, into a large highly populated capital. You can hire units, heroes, and champions to increase your control over the land. You can also summon creatures to help out your units. You always have a view of your units and you can aid them at any time with, other units, giving them special powers, giving them weapons (only for heroes and champions), and casting offensive spells in battle. Of course though, your power is limited. Now, there is one thing you must beware of in this game, food, mana, and gold. When you control an empire, you need to be on top of the food supply, gold, and mana in your kingdom. If you have less than zero food, your units and citizens will die. If you don’t have enough gold income, than you will be poor, but, you can raise your income by raising taxes, but be warned, raising them too high will turn some of your workers and farmers into rebels, and you won’t get as much food and help with buildings as you normally would. Now for mana, you can increase your mana income, by taking over nodes and sending special units over there to enchant them, however, the income will go down if you summon creatures and give special abilities to your units. The battle system in the game is fairly advanced, you basically move your units up, one at a time, and once you get in range with your enemy, you attack. You can also flee from battles and cast spells, but don’t think that every battle will be easy. If you are taking over a town, you can check on the units you will have to face so you can be prepared for whatever happens. Be prepared to meet some new wizards along the way to supremacy. Depending on how you treat them, they can be your allies, your rivals, or your enemies. There is a good amount of ways to piss off a wizard, and some of them may not even be caused by you. Going into war with the wizards units is one way to piss them off. Getting close to their territory is another way, and just having your territory close to their units is one way. Be aware of EVERYTHING! This game is like chess, only more fun, so be prepared to plan your strategy.
