There's no need to tell much about this game because the name tells everything: race with cars build of Lego bricks! While trying to stay before your opponents, you have to pick up Lego bricks. Those bricks give you a special weapon, like a canon to shoot one of your opponents and more of that stuff.
If you still play with Lego or if you like to try a crazy racing game, try Lego Racers!
Reviewer: Klaymen This game feels quite similar to Mario Kart in many ways: the speed of the cars is quite low, tight turns about, and there are powerups everywhere. The main differences are the scenery, which frequently juts into the courses themselves and always has a strong 3D look (as opposed to Mario Kart's textured walls), and the quite liberal use of hills, ramps, and other inclines (which are quite different from Mario Kart's flat, SNES-inspired tracks and closer to the stuff found in Episode One Racer).
Oh, and everything's made out of Legos. Especially the cars. In fact, one almost has more fun building their car than actually racing it (and not just due to the low difficulty). Sure, the interface is extremely limited (the only way to place bricks and other elements is by dropping them vertically onto the car itself, and even overhanging parts of elements need a place to connect - no placing flags next to slopes or the edge), and the brick collection is accordingly small (then again, who needs to stick a solar panel on the side of their Transylvanian Pirate-Mobile) - but it's building with Legos, and that's always a blast. Besides, with enough creativity, these limitations seem trivial. You even build your driver! For those much less creative folks who want to skip the building for whatever insignificant reason that they have, they can randomize the driver and select from pre-designed cars - but who wants that?
Don't think that this is just for eye candy, however - the way that you build your car actually effects is performance (sadly, making a driver that resembles Michael Schumacher will not improve your chances of winning). The general rule is that bigger, heavier cars take more time to get to their top speeds, but are fast, and that smaller, lighter cars are slower, but accelerate a lot quicker. Choose a building style that complements your driving style.
However, as this is a review of a racing game, I feel that I'm getting a bit off-topic. Aside from the difficulty, how does it play?
Surprisingly well, actually - especially if you have a gamepad or joystick to play against your friend with.
The courses are really well-designed - they never look boring for a second, and they're chock-full with shortcuts. I know that it sounds like sacrilege, but I actually prefer the course designs in Lego Racers to the ones in Mario Kart. There's just so much more in them. Not to mention the fact that some shortcuts require a specific powerup to open, which adds to the fun. Even when you factor out the shortcuts, the courses are still appropriately windy for a kart game, and they never get dull like some of the courses in Mario Kart (Rainbow Road readily comes to mind). The only problem here is that some can be too short.
Adding to the variety in the courses are the settings themselves. All are quite varied and make excellent use of their Lego heritage. From the weird blue rocks and volcanoes in the Exploriens course to the waterfalls and ancient temples in the Johnny Thunder tracks, everything contains the perfect mix of bricks and...uh...not-bricks. If you've played the Lego Star Wars games, you'll know what I'm talking about.
The graphics and sounds aren't too shabby, either, especially considering that this game is old enough to have appeared on the N64 (it still looked better on the PC). While there's nothing more demanding than bricks and cliffs to render, everything still has an appropriately plastic look, and the textures are great. The ambient sounds like airplanes and monkeys add atmosphere to the courses themselves, while the music manages to actually capture the feel of the plastic bricks themselves. Whether the effect is cool or incredibly annoying depends on your taste.
I mentioned the powerups, but I never really talked much about them. The system is actually quite imaginative. Rather than randomly generating powerups after the player drives through a block, the game supplies the player with a set of differently-colored Lego bricks. The basic scheme is that red bricks yield offensive powerups like cannons and rockets, blue bricks give the player shields, green bricks increase the player's speed, and yellow bricks spawn an arsenal of hazards. In addition, these powerups can be picked up with white bricks, and driving through a powerup brick with a powerup already in your arsenal switches the two. This adds a nice amount of strategy, as you can conveniently keep your opponent from getting ahead of you by switching all of the red bricks with blue ones.
Overall, I think that Lego Racers works well to keep kids busy by themselves, and rivals Mario Kart 64 as a two-player game. The simple - yet effective - graphics and sounds add character, and the addition of Lego bricks makes it simply brilliant. Good show, Lego.
Reviewer: TF2_Fanatic Ah Lego Racers. It has been a very long time since I last played it, but the memory of it on the original Playstation is still locked up in the back of my head. The last time I played it must have been when I was half way through primary school. I used to be the best in my class, none of my friends (yes, I have them) could beat me.
I liked to have the freedom to create your own racing car from scratch, starting from the base, to adding blocks to give it that "Uber" look. You also get to customise your racing driver, choosing his hat, head, torso and legs, which added that extra bit of depth in personal customisation.
There are seven stages of Lego Racers, each consisting of four tracks (except the last one, which is just one long track). Each stage has it's own "boss" or "champion" which is the most skilled CPU racer you have to confront, as well as two easier opponents. The first stage's champ is a pirate. The second stage's champ is a desert shaman-like guy. The third stage's champ is an evil warlord. The sixth stage's champ is a spacewoman, and the seventh stage's champ is the legenday racer known as "Rocket Racer". All the bosses were unique.
There were weapons positioned around the tracks to assist in victory. The pick-ups were in brick form, and your current weapon could be upgraded by collecting white bricks, to a maximum white brick count of three. Red bricks were projectiles, which without any white bricks, were simple cannonballs; one brick: a grappling hook, which attaches to the nearest person and pulls you towards them; two bricks: a lighting bolt which lasted about five seconds which zaps anyone in the way; three bricks: three homing missles. Blue bricks were shields, which made you invincible to attacks for a limited amount of time. No bricks: short lasting shield; a single brick: slightly longer lasting shield; two bricks: even longer lasting shield; three bricks: ten-second shield which also deflected cannonballs and homing missiles. Yellow bricks were dropped weapons which could be used to block off choke points on tracks. No bricks: an oil spill; a single brick: a stick of dynamite; two bricks: a gun which swings cars like a pendulum before it disappears; three bricks: a mummy appears behind your car, reversing nearby cars controls. Green bricks were boosts / turbos. No bricks: a tiny rocket; one brick: slighlty bigger rocket; two bricks: two rockets, which also make you hover; three bricks: opens a warp gate which teleports you about a quarter of the way around the track in three seconds.
All in all, it was a very good, challenging and fun game for it's time. There is a lot of variation and a lot to learn, which kept it really fresh and entertaining with each play.

Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online I have extremely fond childhood memories of playing this game. Any time we got a little free time in Ms. Moore's third-grade class, my fellow classmates and I all ran for the PC, Jr. computers in the back of the room and started a game of Bouncing Babies. To say the game was addictive would be an understatement. Has it stood the test of time? Well, I imagine there are a multitude of games that could easily draw one's attention away from this relic now, but there is still a charm to this game that, in my opinion, can't be denied (particularly if you remember it from back in the 80's and are a sucker for all things nostalgic).
The premise of the game is simple. On the left side of the screen, there is a building that is on fire, and, for some reason, this building is filled with babies. These babies will start jumping (or falling?) out of the building, and you must keep them from splattering all over the ground at the bottom of the building. You do this by controlling a team of two rescuers who are holding a stretcher that functions more like a trampoline. As the babies fall from the building, you must position the rescuers so that the babies hit the trampoline. Each baby will have to be bounced a total of three times as you move across the screen to the right. After the third bounce, the babies bounce up and into a waiting ambulance and are finally safe.
But there is never time to just relax and feel good about the fact that you have just saved a baby or two. In the beginning, the difficulty level is easy, as you only have to bounce one baby across the screen at a time. After you save a baby or two, however, things begin to ramp up, and while you are still trying to bounce one baby to safety on the right side of the screen, one or more babies will begin falling from the building. It becomes a back and forth race, trying to keep all of the babies in the air at one time, and it definitely becomes an extreme challenge before too long. You are given an allowance for the number of babies you are allowed to let splatter on the ground. Once you let too many babies splatter, the game is over.
This concept and gameplay for this game is very similar to the game Tapper (a.k.a. Root Beer Tapper), which came out a year before Bouncing Babies, but Bouncing Babies is simpler than Tapper because you don't have to move in multiple directions, nor is there quite as much going on all at one time. As a fan of all things 80s, I enjoy both games, but for some reason, I've always liked Bouncing Babies a little bit more.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online I thought that the game was confusing at first due to the fact that there weren’t any directions. I think that if there was some kind of tutorial it would make the game much better. The game is sort of different also because missiles come at you from anywhere and from any direction. I personally thought that this makes it more challenging and was a good thing. It brings more strategy into the game and makes you think more. The point of Boom is to try and destroy the missiles while surviving and keeping your base alive. You can achieve this by building many structures that include barracks, towers, rally spots for the troops and places for people to live. You can build an academy which allows people to learn at an advanced level. Warehouses are used to store food and preserve it for long periods of time. As your city grows, marketplaces are created which allow villagers to trade with each other and this in turn influences the economic stability of your city. You can join alliances or start one of your own with other towns and cities. This is a good idea because it gives that extra boost when you are in a time of need. You can look at reports of many things such as your enemies, army movement, ally info, armies, trade and a category of other for everything else. You get quests which outline what you need to do to reate a strong and powerful place. The first one wants you to create cottages and give your townspeople a home to live in. Upon the completion of each quest you receive rewards which also contribute to your building. These include people joining your town, food, iron and other vital supplies that you will need as you expand. Your stats are also kept throughout the game so you can see how good your doing. The shop is also a feature that you use in Boom. In the shop you can buy tools for quarrying and construction as well as purchasing guidelines and tax policies. Buying a tax policy increases the amount of revenue you get for a certain amount of time. This is valuable when you want to get a large increase in money and expand your town or need to prepare for a battle. Overall it is a game that has potential and many features that can make it enjoyable for a while.

Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online After playing Bicycle solitaire on the PC, I would have to say I have mixed feelings about it, only because solitaire is already a game that comes on most Personal Computers these days anyway. However for people that love to just keep going at solitaire, you may find that this is the game that will be playing you for weeks. The fact that it is a free download off this site is also pretty good, and this review is something I am doing just because I want to download my game. Being able to play the old DOS games again is a relief to me and really takes me back to the great years of some games. This version of solitaire has a variety of customizable features such as the color of the deck as well as the background and of course you can choose between 3 card draw and 1 card draw. I prefer 1 card draw because I am not that good at the game and somehow lose all the time. A few lessons in strategy, here and there, when playing make sure you use the cards that are in the playing field rather than the ones that are in the deck first as getting rid of the playing field cards can often lead to opportunity to find the hidden cards and get to the goal of having them all in the four piles of suits. This game wasn't the greatest use of my time, and crashed once while playing. I don't really know how it crashed, perhaps it was because I was using Vista and Windows Vista is still pretty buggy after all. After the crash however it has yet to crash again and should still be fine and playable. If you are a big solitaire fan I recommend picking up this game just because there are thousands of solitaire games already and you can add this one to your collection. Other than that solitaire is just one of those games that nobody really ever wants to play unless they are bored to tears and need to kill time before something exciting arrives. Well thats about all I can say about the game, pretty much I enjoyed it for all of two minutes and then went right to this review. So if you are bored just download this game and play it for 5 minutes and then realize that all your other games are probably more fun. For a more enjoyable game, I suggest going outside and throwing a frisbee.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online I must tell you, I was really surprised with this one. I expected a very cheesy game with low budget graphics and mediocre play. Actually, the game was pretty fun.
The game begins with an opening "movie" where you, the main super sleuth of Florida, take a boat ride to the off shore island of your youth - Cobra Island. Upon landing you notice a pair of coin operated scopes on the bridge. When you take a look, the screen changes to a controlable circular view of half nude animae beach beauties. Scroll around to your hearts content, right click, and you'll be attacked by three thugs. Upon defeating the nasties (who tried to bilk you out of $600 for looking through the scope),you'll automatically waddle your way to Faith's house. You hear about the disappearance of Faith's friend, and Faith decides to help you solve the mystery behind the island's disappearing 18-15 year old bathing beauties. Thus the story, and your quest, begins.
The game basically has three elements to it: Solving the mystery, Combat, and Adult content.
1. Solving the mystery.
This is fairly in depth as, although the game is linear in nature (solve this part, gain access to the next part, solve that part, gain access, and so on) you will have to visit the same places several times over at different times in order to get the information you need. What makes this a bit more of a challenge than other games of like kind is that there isn't any real guidance to tell you what comes next. This is classic 80's/90's adventure gaming. The programmers and authors don't hand this to you on a silver platter. If you are into puzzle solving and clue finding, this game might be for you (for a while, anyway).
2. Combat, items, and leveling.
The combat system was a new one on me, and for an early 90's DOS game, I thought it was pretty ingenious. Combat is iconic, but fluid. Basically, a picture appears of a baddie. You (and whoever is with you) have weapons that will appear at one of the four corners of the screen. The object is to move the fist, gun, bat, knife, or whatever over the baddie and click to initiate an attack. The trick is, you won't always hit where you clicked. Where you hit is determined by your combat skill. Also, the bad guys (and girls) have different weaknesses. For example, if you hit the boxer-fella on the head you won't do any damage. If you hit him on the chest, however, you'll take him out really quickly. The karate guy is just the opposite... hit him on the chin.
When you best the baddies, you'll get money and experience. As with most leveling games, enough experience means level up. Level up means more hit points for you, as well as an increase in stats. Sometimes baddies will drop items you can use, like tear gas or poison darts. You can use these against future baddies, or sell them.
Items can also be found all over the place. Various squares (tiles) in the game have been preset as hot spots, where if you walk over them, you will "find" an item. Some hot spots are random tiles, while others are behind trees, on or under furniture, on beds, etc.
3. Adult content.
By today's standards, this game is pretty tame. It got an "R" rating for its sexual content. Aside from some of the graphics, this is where the cheese enters the scene. The makers of the game obviously wanted to make a game that called for cartoon breasts. They also took it one step further and made one of the sideline goals to bed the women you find as part of the main plot. As you bed the ladies, you must satisfy their desires in bed in order to progress through the tryst. This is done in the same fashion as the combat scenes (fitting, I suppose). In my opinion, the writers went overboard in making this an "adult game" in that they put a lot of needless swearing in the game's dialogue. To me it was an obvious attempt to make it "more adultish", and it actually detracts from the game.
A couple of other cheesy points are some of the characters. One is a pervert who will trade you ladies undergarments for animae porn pictures. There is no point to this other than seeing the artists' hentai. Another is an enemy you have to fight periodically. This 90's aerobic instructor (complete with tight leotard) attacks you by swelling her breasts and winking at you, stealing money from you in the process.
Overall the game is fun to play. It reminded me a lot of the old Nintendo games like Zelda. The play area is fairly small so one can get bored and tired of exploring the same places over and over very easily. But, the twists, side quests, and clue finding make it fun. It's worth downloading.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online This game really takes me back to my younger days, the missions are fun and actually involve you having to use your brain. in my opinion it is one of the finest games ever on the amiga and i was so happy to find i can download it on this site. It is a good solid game with plenty of levels and missions that involve shooting and planning against your enemy, it also has some good features that are the great graphics and sound, making cobra mission a brilliant play and very enjoyable. If any doubt of this game then download and play it, u really wont regret it and will enjoy every second of the cobra experience, it makes me feel young again!!. when shooting the enemy try and keep as straight as possible as it is easy to lose control and your shots will go wayward. Also when attacking dont rush in and take your time as it is very hard sometimes to get a clear shot, all the missions are fun but especially the end of level ones where u attack the big bosses, they require a lot of thought and a lot of imagination. i really love this game and am thankful to the website for giving me the chance to download and play it, it makes me feel 15 again and its great as im no spring chicken. when u play for the 1st time you will be held in a trance forever, its so good it will keep you playing over and over again, addictivity rating is at 100 per cent and will keep on going and going and going in yhour head until you are playing this all the timne every day. I think there shouyld be more sites like this where these games can be downloaded as it is such a good game it makes me shudder with excitement. Cobra is the best game if its genre and will keep you spellbound by the way it picks u up and pulls u down. I hope that there is some sort of new sequel to this hgame as there deserves to be, i dont think there will but if there is i hope i can download it on this site. im off to play cobra again now as it is so amazing and if i dont play it soon then i wont ever play it again, i hope this game gets a 10 out of 10 rating as every time i play it i want to give it a 10 rating, im now going to spend my whole day playing cobra as it is the best thing ever since sliced bread, thanks for giving me the chance to write this review
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online Mine sweeper is a single player game and the aim of the game is to cross the entire minefield with out hitting a single mine, if you hit a mine you will have to go back to the beginning and start again! the minefield is set out like a huge block of square depending on the difficulty in which you are trying out and you chose a square to pick which will either have a number which is good as this will mean that you will still be in the game and it will not be game over which you defiantly don’t want to see in this game as it is quite heartbreaking when you think you are doing really well in the playing session you are in and you come across one of those pesky but yet devastating mines!
Although the game has no sound in it the graphics are not brilliant or even mildly impressive it is a little addictive game that once you are hooked on you will not come off it for a good hour or so.
There are a few difficulties in which you can play
Beginner- Not a very big minefield to rummage through so it is a nice little field for a beginner to get in to the game.
Intermediate- A bigger sized map for you to get your teeth into although this of course means more mines! Or more reward for managing to get through in one piece.
Expert- Although it is a game of luck there isn’t really any point in calling the difficulty expert it should of been call Very Hard? You will get a huge field on this and a huge amount of mines of go with it of course! But the reward for doing it will be great mentally for you.
This little gem of a game came out in 1993 and now it comes free on most windows computers in different forms in which you can play it, you can now get hexagonal minesweeper and triangular minesweeper and even 3D minesweeper! They are basically the same concept as the original square block mine sweeper but more a different challenge nether the less.
Although there are games on the internet that are available for download with far superior graphics, i would urge you to download this little beauty of a game, it will provide hours of enjoyment when you get bored of other games you are used to playing and you can challange you family and freinds on it too and try to best each others score find out who can clear the deadly minesweeper!
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online Da-Game is a very simple, easy to play game. In the game, the player has to move one of the smile faces to the blocks that appear within the marked section of the screen. For every block earned, the player gets 10 points added to their score, but can also lose 10 points if one of the computer players gets a block the same color as the player is trying to get. It's not hard at all to get the hang of, and I found it very entertaining. It's great for the long days at work when you are trying to find something to make the day go faster. The graphics are awesome, and I think that it has very relaxing, catchy music. I've found, for the most part, that every person I've talked to about the game has nothing but good things to say about it. I love that it is so easy and you don't really have to hink hard in order to play it.
Da-Game is very cool, and it is pretty straight forward. Anyone can play it, and it is fun for everyone.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online Although I have never played this game I have read the reviews about it. It looks like it's not much of a game to play because when the missles are coming from everywhere, there's no way that you can defend your bases against that. Some of these dos games were not designed very well. They made them to difficult to play. Although this game has not to bad graphics, but if its a confusing game to play then I wouldn't even consider it. Some of the old dos games were made with good story lines, good playablity, and excellent graphics. Some dos games have to be played in dos box because windows cannot run them. Although it is difficult to set up games in dosbox ; once it is accomplished it can run the games so that everything works right in the game and you can get the background music to work too. My favorite dos games are platform games. There always a challenge and they keep you in suspense in every level. In some games the controls were hard to get use to, but if they have an options choice then you can somtimes change the keys to press to make it a little easy on yourself. Some games let you use your mouse in conjuction with keyboard which sometimes can be a little confusing. Some dos games were so simple that they were not even worth playing. All you have to do is look at the graphics and you say to yourself I don't think I want this one. Although the graphics look alright on Boom; if its hard or a boring game than its just not worth even downloading it. Some of the music and sound effects sounded pritty good. Although some of them didn't have anything or the they sounded flat. Some of the 3d games had excellent graphics and sound and sometimes too much violence. I don't like particulary extremely violent dos games: too much killing and blood all over the place! I don't mind it when I'm getting rid of robots or flying bats, but when I'm shooting people; well I just can't handle that. Some of the shareware games have sequels to them ahd it can be pritty difficult to get the full version of the game. Once you get the game and you like it then you find out that that it has more to it and you want the full game. But as we all know sometmes it just not available anymore because it's so old.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online I love this game. Me and my friends play it everyday but we call it pusoy. I think it is also called Chinese poker. I actually downloaded the game for my ipod touch too. I am in the line of work where it is important to find fun things to do to pass the time so me and my buddies get together and play everyday. For those who don’t know how to play there are four players and everyone is dealt thirteen cards. The object of the game is to get rid of your cards before the other players do. If your hand allows it you can throw poker hands such as straits and full houses. If you don’t have anything you can just lay singles. If someone lays a single you have to lay a better single. If someone lays doubles you have to lay better doubles and so on and so fourth. Ironically the highest card in the game is a two. If someone lays an ace you can beat it with a two. You cannot throw at two on doubles but two twos would beat any double however I would advise holding onto your twos until they are absolutely needed. The way we play, first place, second place, and third place remain on the table so the fourth has to give up his seat to whoever is waiting in line so it is important to not get last place. This is why it is important to hold onto your twos. If you cannot play on a card or any other hand you have to pass to the next player. Also if you want to pass as part of your strategy you can do so as well. One thing you don’t want to do is be stuck with only one card left and that card being a low card like a three, four, five, or six, Because this would mean your opposing players would have to lay a lower card for you to be able to lay your last one. This is why I said it is important to hold onto your twos. All in all I am so glad that my friends showed me this game. Not only is it fun but it is addicting. I can play for hours and not get bored of it. The time also seems to go by a lot quicker. If you are in the line of work that I am you will find it is important to pass the time. Big two is my savior everyday.
