In Crystal Caves you're playing with Mylo Steamwitz. As all Apogee games have, Crystal Caves has a good story in it. Mylo is rocketing to the Altairian stars on a treasure hunt. Mylo thought he would get some treasures and then leave again; but something else happens. He enters an underground world of chambers full of alien technology and traps. Strange aliens and robots live in the caves.
They are trying to protect the crystals from people like Mylo, who only like to have them for the money.

As I said, you are playing with Mylo and your task is to complete all the levels in the game. The levels in the beginning are easy, but later on they will get harder so you have to do at least something before you can finish them. The levels are very various. Some levels are full of color, other levels are in black, grey and white. Some levels are without light so you have to find the the light-switch to turn the light on. In some levels the gravity is even up-side-down!

The first episode in this trilogy is "The Trouble with Twibbles". The second one is "Slugging it Out" and the last one is "Mylo Verses the Supernova". I finished all those three games and I can say the Crystal Caves trilogy is really worth playing it. The first episode is shareware, the second and third are sold at the official Apogee website.

The graphics are nice for a game of its age. All nice graphics that make playing this game very fun. The sounds are good to. I didn't hear the sounds of this game for a while now, but I can still hear them echoing in my room. The jump-sound, the shoot-sound and the hit-sound. Ah... I'll never forget them. The gameplay is very good too. All these things, the good story, great graphics, nice sounds and good gameplay makes the game get a 5/5 rating.
