There are lots of solitaire games, even numerous poker solitaire games, but Gridly manages to offer an extremely unique approach while retaining the core concepts of Poker Solitaire. As usual, you place your cards in lines to get the most points, however, the scoring system is very different, and if you arrange your cards improperly, you won't be able to have 25 cards.

If you're used to normal Poker Solitaire games, download this for an unusual experience.

This is a pretty good Solitaire game if you are into solo card games. A nice distraction from a busy work day and easy to play.
There are five grids and your goal is to place your cards in each of them. You need to try and get the best poker hands along the rows and diagonals. This proves to be quite a difficult task as you can only place cards in certain spots base on where you have already placed other cards.
It is imperative that you understand the basic rules of five card poker to play this game as that is how you will score the most points; by getting the best poker hands.
You will have to learn all the rules to truly be successful and as of yet, I have not mastered them all myself. For instance, Aces can be either high card or low card. You only get pinots for poker hands in rows and on diagonals, not in the columns. And if you get a diagonal poker hand, these points will count triple what you earn for the same hand in one of the rows.
This game takes a lot of strategy as to complete all five rows, you will need to place the cards correctly. If you do not do this, you will not be able to fill the grid with all twenty five cards. I have run into this scenario many times and have learned to strategize better. This only shows that this card game takes much more thinking than shuffling, which is unfortunately not the case with more card games. Especially when we are speaking about versions of the classic Solitaire.
So in conclusion, I would recommend this game for the avid card player. It is challenging as well as fun and is easy to learn once you get the point system down and understand the basics of Poker. This game is not really suitable for those under the age of 14 as the nuances of the game may prove difficult and the inherent gambling aspect (Poker rules) should not be taught to those so young in my opinion.
Pick up this game and have fun!
