This is a 3-D game that is sort of like Wolfenstein 3-D, Blake Stone, Doom, etc. in that you play from the point of view with the gun in front of you. The object is to destroy all of the aliens such as weird eyeball dudes and ugly monsters, then go on the elevator to finish the level. There are a variety of weapons and power ups to help you do this.

If you like 3-D games, this game might be worth a try but don't expect anything too amazing, just classic 3-D shooting action.

I haven't played this game in ages, but from what I rememeber, I was young and it was a pretty good game! For the time in gaming history when this game came out, the graphics were pretty top notch, at the time! As for the gameplay, I'm not too sure, considering it was a long time ago that I played the game.

I remember there were a nice variety of enemies, and it kind of reminded me of DOOM in a way. The enemies had the same kind of look to them, although the game play and weapons were a bit different. There are quite a bit of levels to this game, which is good, more so on the CD version than the floppy disk version of the game. The same goes for for weapons and enemies. On the CD version, there is also a multiplayer mode which allows you to do it up deathmatch style, which consists of 8 extra multiplayer maps. With the multiplayer mode, you can either choose to be one of the soldiers or one of the aliens, being an alien race you can have their special abitlies and each alien race has their own distinct abilities.

In the single player mode there are five different difficulty settings! Corporal, Lieutenant, Captain, Major and President, which I ordered from least difficult to most difficult. President is also only available on the CD version of the game. If I am correct, the one difference between this game and DOOM is that rather than finding an exit, you have to clear the stage of all enemies and then once you have done that you are allowed to go on to the next level. To help you on this journey, there is a map in the corner of the screen, allowing you to see the remaining aliens you have left to kill as a yellow dot. This helps you out large on your mission to the next level. There are also a couple neat add ons in the game including both infrared and night vision. The locked areas do not require keys to open them, but colour coded passcards, similar to Duke Nukem. Corridor 7:

Alien Invasion is definately worth a try, and I suggest it to anyone, I myself, like I said have not played it in ages and am thinking of downloading it myself again just to give a try again, considering it's been such a while since I've played it and wonder how fast I can whip through the levels in this day in time.
