Joyous Rebel 1 is a nice RPG game. It's made in 1996 and a bit old, but it won't make the game less fun to play. You can make you own character and talk to people on three large islands. Some of the people will attack you. You have to defend yourself by using your sword.
The graphics of this game are pretty nice, even though the characters are very slim. The gameplay is very good, so if you like RPG games, I'm sure you will like Joyous Rebel 1.

The graphics of this game are pretty nice, even though the characters are very slim. The "S" key shoots things in the game which is important because by shooting things you can get items and progress through the game. The "D" button is the do it buttons which allows you to interact with your environment and perform simple tasks such as entering rooms. The "A" button switches modes in the game. You can move around on a boat in the game and the boat is pretty badass. You can chop down trees like a lumberjack, which is sexy. Then you can carry the logs around where ever you want. There isn't really a good reason to bring the trees very far with you unless you are trying to use the logs to build something though.
When you play the game you should make sure to save often that way you do not lose track of what you are doing and you don't lose your progress. The game does not crash or freeze at all which is a plus. Pushing the dead carcasses of your enemies into the water is satisfying as hell. You can push them where ever you want to, or into a wall. The amount of exploring to do is tremendous, you can spend an entire day just running around exploring areas of the game. If you run into a cave and continuously are fighting off baddies then you gain items and progress towards another continent that will further your progress in the game. Using items in the game is very satisfying, you get a hot "blip" whenever you push a button which tells you that you are using it.
There are a ton of items you can pick up and do things with. You can get health pick ups that recover your health and there is ammunition pick ups to replenish your ammunition. There is a sword in the game, and its sharper than a plastic fork.
All in all this game is a nice simple little game to play or download if you are a collector of old C++ games or if you are just looking for an old school style Adventure on.
