This game is similar to Yahtzee, except that the dice are colored, and the scoring system has some differences. It is more
difficult than classic Yahtzee, since the colors of the dice play a role in getting points. The game is silent (who wants to hear that annoying beeper anyway?) and the graphics are somewhat primitive. Overall, a dandy game that should appeal to Yahtzee veterans

If you like Yahtzee, download this game now.
If you don't know much about dice games like this, play Yahtzee first as it
is easier to learn, then, when you know how to play Yahtzee, then you can download Yahtmet for a new experience.

As a huge fan of Yahtzee I was always looking out for different iterations of this game. I stumbled across this gem of a game one day when my father brought it home and loaded it into DOS. I was very young at the time and so at first I struggled with this game. There was one thing that was very nice about the game which was the different colored dice. That added dimension to the original yahtzee that really made this game unique. Thinking back My brothers and I must have played this game for hours on end just to figure out the scoring system. It really didn't make much sense at first, not to mention we were 20 years younger at the time. There was another thing that we really liked about this game. As we all remember DOS had some very annoying games with their eight bit sound schemas. The Yahtzee game that we played must have had a full score of annoying bleeps that were to be passed off as music. My brothers and I often would unplug the speaker from inside the computer os disable it from within DOS because of how annoying it is. The reason I bring this up is that this game (Yahtmet) really had no annoying sounds or lame attempts at music. I can also remember a time when my brothers would play this game and not even know what was going on. They were far too young to understand Yahtzee, let alone Yahtmet. My Dad was always the master of this game. He would basically school us every time we played. He clearly understood the color schema and how it affect the scoring. I don't know that there is more that I can write on this game. It was really primitive graphic wise. Back then there was no such thing as a dedicated video card, which also meant that there was no such thing as a three dee game. I was the oldest of six so I was always the second best at this game. I also seem to remember it being very difficult to actually win. Back then there was no such thing as Artificial Intelligence it was more like the computer could compute more efficiently than a human there for, in most cases the computer would win. The reason I believe this to be the case is because I don't think I ever actually won a game. It was basically impossible. Overall I would give the game a 3.5 out of 5.
