If you ever played ExciteBike for the NES, this game will look extremely familiar. In this game, you ride a dirt bike on a horizontally scrolling track, trying to jump over hills. The object is to ride your bike to the finish line in the shortest amount of time. The default controls are awkward, I suggest you customize the keyboard controls before playing. A decent game overall, some may be turned off by the ancient CGA graphics and PC Speaker sound.

Any racing game is an immediate favorite of mine. These days they are all about the flare or high octane explosions though. From Burnout to Gran Turismo, It’s all just too pampered. Very seldom can you find games like this anymore. Motor-mania will immediately take you back to the good old days where thing were simple and all you had to do was get to the finish line first. This is the way video games should be. Call me old fashioned, but since when were explosions required for RACING games. All I want is good clean fun! Fun where you can go and brag to your buddy about winning without having to give a detailed explanation on everything that happened. But with this, the details on this game are nothing to scoff at. With technology advancing the way it is this game is very impressive from when it came. And from this simplicity it’s easier to feel the thrill. Let your heart race as you challenge your opponents and try to edge them out in sometimes difficult races. But maybe I’m just not the best at driving with my record of four totaled cars! My wife hates me for that! But in the end she loves me so it's all good. Don't worry about me. I'm only good at the fastest forms of driving. I did race on a very minor NASCAR circuit. Anything below that speed is actually harder for me to handle. But this game brings back those days for me. The glory days. Being able to do everything in my power for that elusive victory. Now all the game needs is that critical pitstop for me. But of course this isn't a stock car simulation! That would actually be impressive from this form of game. So why not strap on your old helmet and give this classic a shot. It's bound to thrill, it always thrills me. And it gives me alternate forms of entertainment than my adult magazines! My wife doesn't like to see that either! But this game is probably even more thrilling than that. I was able to convince all my buddies to download this and within days we were screaming across the cubicals about our new top scores. This truly is a classic. Who needs Pole Position? Motor-mania is where it's at. Take my word for it, you definitely won't be dissapointed. It might even be the only fun you could possibley have today.
