This is one of a few Galaxians clones. Galaxians is similar to Space Invaders and Galaga, but what makes it unique is the arrangement of the aliens. The aliens hover above you trying to shoot you, and one or more aliens randomly comes down on you while the rest stay up. Nice sounds and graphics make this game an excellent rendition of a classic arcade game.
A must download for fans of classic arcade space shooters!

Galaxie was one of the first shooter games to be released in the early years of gaming. It has revolutionized shooter games at the time and has had really good graphics. This is a shooter type game that puts you against rows of alien ships that come towards you shooting trying to take you down. This isn’t one of those shooter were you can move freely up and down. You can only move left and right. The objective is to shoot down all the alien ships to clear the stage, but with every second they get closer to you and since you cant move up your death is inevitable if you don’t shoot them down quick enough. As your attacking the wave of alien hordes, some of the ships come towards you attacking and make an attempt to take you down with them. If they miss you, they disappear from the bottom of the screen and reappear at the top getting back in line with the other ships.
It may sound easy enough, but as you progress the game gets more challenging with every single stage you clear. More enemies might appear and they proceed towards you at a faster rate. there is a scoreboard that ranks you on your performance in the game and you score higher by shooting down the aliens faster and not getting killed during a stage.
Their is also a two player setting that switches to the second player when the first dies. It would have been more fun if both player could play on screen at the same time, but then again, there is no perfect game out there for every single person to like.
This was one of the first arcade game I played and can be quite addicting. I can’t remember how many quarters I spent playing this game, but it definitely was more than 5 bucks worth. Still, it was the only good arcade game we had there and although it doesn’t revolutionize shooter games now-a-days like it did back then in the 80‘s or 90‘s(whenever it was released) , it is quite fun and worth the download for hardcore shooter fans out there.
