Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is a nice adventure game made by LucasArts. Funny dialogs, a good story and good graphics make this game a real LucasArts game. You are Doctor Jones and you have to find out what really happend on Atlantis. I played this game for a while and it was fun. After you arrive on Atlantis you have to walk to the mountains and there's crashed truck.
Then, walk back to the boat and give this guy some things so he will let you use the boat. A very old diving suit and some other stuff are onboard and you'll have to use these to dive into the water.
As I said, this game is very fun to play and if you liked games like Monkey Island or other LucasArts / Sierra adventure games, you should really try this game.
Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is another adventure game based on a movie franchise. The game was published by LucasArts in 1992. You will play the role of Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones Jr. Indiana Jones has just completed a project for Mr. Smith retrieving an idol from the Barnett Museum. When Indiana presents the idol to Mr. Smith, he holds him at gunpoint and steals the idol. Indiana Jones finds out that Mr. Smith is actually Klaus Kerner, an member of the third reich who is interested in doing explorations in Iceland.
Indiana Jones travels to New York to meet up with Sophia Hapgood an archaeologist who has abandoned the field and now works as a psychic giving seminars on the Atlantis. When Indiana Jones and Sophia reach her hotel room they found out that Klaus Kerner has already been there and ransacked the room. Klaus has stolen all of Sophia’s artifacts except for a piece of necklace she was wearing. Sophia then explains to Indiana the motives of Klaus Kerner in stealing the idol and the artifacts from her room. Klaus Kerner and the Nazis are interested in gaining access to the powers of the Atlantis because there is a powerful metal from the Atlantis that is more powerful than Uranium. Apparently the idol you collected is also from Atlantis. It is now up to you to prevent the Nazis from gaining access to the powerful metal.
At one point in the game the player will have to choose between three paths to complete the game. The three parts are: The Wits Path where Indiana Jones has to use his brain power to solve problems; the Fists Path which involves more combat than puzzles; and Team Path which will have Indiana Jones solving puzzles with Sophia Hapgood. Each path feature different obstacles, locations, dialogues, and objects. The availability of these three alternate paths makes the game’s replay value very high. You can choose to play a different path each time you play.
As you would expect from a LuxasArts game, the graphics is fantastic and definitely better than the graphics of most games released in the early 90s. The sounds are also good and really bring you inside the adventure. The interface is user friendly and not confusing.
If you can’t have enough of adventure games I suggest you download it now to experience countless hours of fun. This game is simply fantastic.
