Reviewer: Dos-Games-Online This game is a really fun game. This is a highly addicting puzzle game. The Lemmings, which are cute rodent like creatures with funky hair, has specific jobs. Some can climb up things, some can dig a pit in the ground, and some can bomb there way through. The objective is to get the most lemmings into the exit. You will need a little strategy to save your little pets. Remember to use your blockers wisely. Stop them from killing themselves because when they fall from high places they will die.
The graphics were pretty good considering the time it came out in. The lemming sprites can be distinguished once you assigned them to jobs. The backgrounds were great. There was even a small screen in the corner to see the whole level so you can keep track of your lemmings if one of them wandered off.
This PC puzzle game is no joke; this can be a challenging game. You will have to figure out what tools to equip the lemmings to do the jobs in order to go further and survive. If you failed, the lemmings will meet certain fates that you thank god that they were only fake graphics.
Every level has a different little tune that is playing; most of them are good to listen to. The sounds the Lemmings make are funny too. There is a button that will make the lemming grab their head and then blow up, but before they go, they will yell out Oh No or the "Boeing" sound when you reach the exit. So funny.
The controls are pretty easy to learn once you figure out when to use each of the little job tools. You just click on the icon you want to use and then click a lemming to use it.
This game has lots of replay value, there are lots of levels. You may feel that you could have done better in one of them and choose to go back to try it, or you like a specific aspect on one of the levels. It is timed, so you may want to beat your own time. Hey, gather some friends and try to compete against each other. There are 120 levels surely you'll have to redo a few because of the challenges.
I have played many versions of the Lemmings and every one is great fun because there are different obstacles for each level. Since this is the one to start it all, no one can beat the original. Play it, you will definitely be entertained with it.
